Marketing claims need the same evidence as product specs
Launch calendars push marketing ahead of product readiness. The result is familiar: a landing page promises speed, certainty, or savings that the live journey only partly delivers.
A disclosure and claims audit does not replace legal review. It does force a comparison between what customers are told and what the service does today. That comparison alone often surfaces the highest-priority wording fixes.
Keep a simple evidence register for customer-facing claims. If a claim cannot be backed by current product behaviour or documented terms, it should not ship — even for a temporary campaign.
